About us

Proudly serving the Grand Valley since 1977, Dos Hombres is the area’s original fine Mexican food restaurant. Founded by Gloria Howard and her sons, Spike and Scott, our story began on April 1, 1977, at 2516 Broadway in Grand Junction, Colorado. Built on tradition, family, and a passion for exceptional food, Dos Hombres has been a beloved part of the community for generations.

Today, under new ownership, we’re honored to carry forward that legacy while deepening our appreciation for the vibrant culture and rich heritage that inspire everything we do.

We prepare our food fresh daily using only the finest and freshest ingredients:

  • Complimentary chips fried every morning in hypoallergenic rice bran oil, served unsalted
  • Fresh-made sopapillas crafted with 100% vegetable shortening
  • Real dairy cheeses and authentic sour cream—never substitutes
  • House-made guacamole made daily with perfectly ripe avocados
  • And the best margarita menu on the planet, with something for every taste

At Dos Hombres, we bring people together with flavorful food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Whether you're a local regular or visiting the area, we invite you to join us for a true taste of Southwestern-inspired Mexican cuisine. We even have ample RV parking for those just passing through.
